Hey All! We have been in touch with some contacts and The York County PoGo crew has been invited to join in on 2 separate Cleanup events in an effort to help out the Community we love and play in daily! These event turnout numbers will count towards the Earth Day event – The first is April 13th – (they just announced Bagon Community day on this date from 3-6) it is the annual Downtown York City Spring Cleanup, we will meet Downtown and head over to City Hall between 7:30 a.m. – 8 a.m. to pickup trash bags and gloves, then spread out to help cleanup trash around the city!

The other is a little more labor intensive (where are all our strong men and women at?!?) This cleanup is headed up by a contact who will provide all the tools necessary and involves using hand tools such as scythes and weed whips to cut down the vegetation along the Codorus creek. This is done to prevent the Army Corps of Engineers from coming in and spraying harmful herbicides that then end up in our ecosystem doing damage to our wildlife!

Both of these events are wonderful opportunities to give back to the community that gives us so much and help do our part to make York a better place!
