Welcome to the York County Pokemon GO page! Discover a whole new world in our small town! Explore new towns or cities, spin, new stops, take new gyms, and meet new trainers! Step outside and enjoy the weather with your buddy! Walk or run to earn your rewards, power up your Pokemon, and encounter a legendary in your area! Encounter new Pokemon and take a Snapshot to share with all your friends and family. Pay attention to each place you go they all have stories to tell behind the stops and gyms!
Volunteer
Our community has come together to form a volunteer program within the city that we play. Our goal is to give back to the community that provides us a place to play and have fun. We have multiple opportunities for those interested to come out and enjoy the festivities, as well as support our community. Please check out our upcoming events to see how you might be able to help, give back, or simply attend and appreciate what we have to give.
Go New Places
You haven't visited every place in town! Or have you? Open your game and explore town. Each stop contains a white ring around it until you spin it. Explore new places, and take down rival gyms. Earn coins and a badge for every gym you visit, battle, or raid at. Encounter new Pokemon depending on the location, weather, or event in town - in real time! Look for a spinning ring at Pokemon's feet to know if they're weather boosted, and earn extra rewards for those caught. Explore new places, and meet new trainers along the way! Battle solo or in teams to gain more rewards!
Explore Nests
Check out your areas Pokemon nests! We currently cover York and surrounding areas for the nest lists. All the York County nest lists are community driven, and several members of the community help to contribute to these lists. Nests change biweekly, on Wednesday at 8 PM Eastern Time, so keep your eye out for the nest change. They will be marked if they are shiny or slow spawn nests. You can get directions by clicking on the Pokemon located at the nest on the page. So get out there and get the candies and potentially a shiny!
Make New Friends!
Make new friends along your adventure! Join teams with trainers to take down raid bosses, get great rewards, and catch legendaries! Exchange your friend codes, and exchange daily gifts. Bonus rewards for higher friendship levels allow trainers to take down raid bosses easier, gives extra experience, and lowers trading cost.
Trade Pokemon
Trade Pokemon to see if you can get lucky Pokemon, have better stats, and require less stardust to power up! Lucky Pokemon are apparent by their appearance, as they have gold glitter behind them. Check your Pokedex to see how many luckies you have of a particular species of Pokemon. Trading also helps to build your friendship! Trade and get to a best friend level, and get great bonuses! With the release of lucky friends, you may even be guaranteed a lucky, so make sure you save some Pokemon for your buddies to trade!
Battle Trainers
Battle friends and trainers! Build your best Pokemon team and go up against trainers to earn badges, rewards, and experience in PvP. You can also go up against your team leader to practice and train your Pokemon. Take your experience and enter local tournaments in York and surrounding areas to rise to the top! Build your league badges and show off your best PvP team in a fight to be the very best!
Battle Team Rocket
Battle Team Rocket for a chance to get a Shadow Pokemon! Take on the evil Team Rocket to help rescue Pokemon from the darkness, and make them one of your own! These Pokemon give you stardust as a reward for defeating Team Rocket. Work with the community to help purify these Pokemon and the Pokestops and show them that good trumps evil!
